When the The Arc had redefined its mission and Vision statements, it was challenging to get buy-in from the staff. With the help of a tool called “Visual Explorer” I organised and coached tens of sessions where all staff were invited to spend a half day each to experience deep thinking of the values of the organization. They core questions were: 1) What is are the vision and mission of the organization and 2) What can I contribute to reach the mission and vision. The Visual Explorer tool was really helpful in tackling moral dilemmas about our role in a society where we work with developmentally disabled persons.
